Barn Owl chicks were ringed on site today, there are 7 ready to fledge with any luck, below are the 2 chicks from Harrier Hide ringed today. Other sightings included upto 25 Tufted Duck including a female with 5 newly hatched chicks. Common Tern was seen again today with a pair together on the Mere and seen from Ron Barker. A flock of 4 Golden Plover were new from yesterday and a Cuckoo was heard calling near Swanlink hide.

There are still 50 Black tailed Godwit, many in gorgeous breeding plumage, the 2 Green Sandpiper were seen again along with the usual male Marsh Harrier and several Common Buzzard. Duck numbers are starting to build up with a count of 560 Mallard and 146 Shelduck.  TD
