We have two pairs of Barn Owl nesting on the reserve at the moment and the picture below is of one pair pretty much full grown young taken just after they had been ringed by our species monitor Kane Brides. The adults are being seen most mornings till 10am from the Reed Bed Walk or the Harrier and United Utilities Hides.

A very calm day in which the Marsh Harrier were showing well from the Ron Barker Hide. At least 3 Common Buzzard including one very pale individual which has been causing some confusion.

Green Sandpiper again from the Hale Hide. At least two breeding plumaged Dunlin on the Mere this morning.
