Bean Goose

A Tundra Bean Goose was showing from the United Utilities this afternoon. Around the reserve, still at least 2 Marsh Harriers and 2 Peregrines showing regularly, with at least one Tawny Owl in the 'usual' ivy covered tree after the Kingfisher hide. Goldcrests are also particulrly evident in this area at the moment.Barn Owls are currently hunting at the far side of the reserve (usually best seen from either the United Utilities or Ron Barker hides) most afternoons from around 2.30 onwards.

50+ Ruff, a single Dunlin and a few Black-tailed Godwits were on and around the Mere and a pair of Goldeneye were feeding in front of tha new Discovery hide.
