A single Bewick's swan spent the day mainly asleep on the far side of the Mere again as it did yesterday, this is only the 5th day of the winter Bewick's have been recorded, and the last 3 days running. Upto 1700 Whooper Swans are on site daily along with c1000 Pink footed Geese.

The Green winged Teal was again from Ron Barker hide on the left hand side with Teal. A pair of Peregrine were present again causing havoc among the large Lapwing flock which has numbered 4350 birds recently. At least 40 Ruff were counted on the Mere today and the Hen Harrier and at least 3 Marsh Harrier were again seen. The Willow Tit was again from Janet Kear hide.
