The sighting of the day must go to the 6 adult Bewick's Swans that were seen mid afternoon, this is the lagest group seen on site this winter. Whooper Swan numbers are still around the 1400 mark with upto 5,200 Pink footed Geese roosting overnight. Late news from Xmas day when 44 European White Fronted Geese were counted by the warden.
At least 4 Marsh Harrier and a ringtail Hen Harrier were counted today along with a pair of Peregrine, several Common Buzzard, 2 Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
