The Cetti's Warbler was heard again today, this time from the reserve end of the reedbed walk, but, as is often the case with this very elusive species, not seen. A Marsh Harrier was seen circling very high over the reserve, and appeared to be drifting off in a Northerly direction - maybe this was the first of our wintering birds to decide to head back to it's breeding grounds. 3 other Marsh Harriers were present throughout the day, along with several Common Buzzards and a Peregrine. No counts received, but no obvious change in wader numbers, with Avocet, Ruff, Curlew, Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff, Oystercatcher and Ringed Plover all present. Willow Tit still around the Janet Kear hide.
