A lovely day, spring like after an early frost. Plenty of people about enjoying the late winter spectacle. The Avocet is still present, mostly sleeping at the back of the Mere. Still 3000+ Lapwing mostly distributed on Plover Field. Other waders included 30+ Oystercatcher, 2 Ringed Plover, 70+ Ruff, Black-tailed Godwit and Common Snipe.

A good day for raptors in the calm and sunny condition. Two Peregrine active in the afternoon, Marsh Harrier, 5 Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Barn Owl.

Redwing and Fieldfare on the overflow car park and some larger flocks on nearby fields.

The first Brambling of the year, a female near the Kingfisher Hide. Stonechat out of the fence line near Plover Field.
