A very pleasant day and the forecast looks good into the weekend. Perhaps not the most ideal condition for turning up something new, so it probably will!
A few passage waders seen included Whimbrel, Common Sandpiper and Dunlin. At least 20 Avocet present, 80+ Lapwing, 6+ Redshank, 4 Oystercatcher, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Little Ringed Plover.
Many Swift feeding and moving through the reserve, Swallows and House Martin present.
A Great Spotted Woodpecker was seen hoping fence post out towards Plover Field, very unusual behavior.
At least 2 Wheatear also out on the reserve. More nearby on Curlew Lane, also Yellow Wagtail there.
