Another good day with plenty of action around the reserve. Four Marsh Harrier now present, keeping many of the smaller birds on their toes so to speak. Other raptors included 5 Kestrel, 4 Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk.
A juvenile Yellow Wagtail was present with many young Pied Wagtail feeding around the muddy edges from the Ron Barker Hide. A Water Rail also showed from there.
Waders included 100+ Lapwing, 35 Black-tailed Godwit, 18 Ruff, 2 Common Sandpiper, 7 Snipe and 8 Dunlin.
