Despite awful weather, plenty of good birds to be seen including 4 Marsh Harriers, 1 Hen Harrier (ringtail), 2 Ravens and 2 Peregrines and a single Oystercatcher around the Mere. The feeders at the Janet Kear hide were busy, with Willow Tit and Great Spotted Woodpecker joing mixed flocks of Blue, Great, Coal and Long-tailed Tits, as well as large numbers (30+) of Tree Sparrows, Goldfinch and Chaffinch. A single Bewick's Swan was again seen from the Ron Barker hide.
