Another excellent day's birding, with "top bird award" going to a Grey Phalarope which was seen on a number of occasions on The Mere, as well as from the United Utilities hide. At least 30 European White-fronted Geese, 5,000 Pink-footed Geese, 1,450 Whooper Swans were counted, along with 4 Ravens, 4 Marsh Harriers, Peregrine, Merlin, Short-eared Owl, Dunlin and Kingfisher.
