A brief update. If it's your first time looking at these reports we would recommend that you look at the last seven days to get a feel for the numbers and species being seen on the reserve. On any given day it should be possible to catch up with at least 50 species of wild bird.

Calm but misty making it feel cold for the first time in weeks. At least one European White-fronted Goose was seen with Pink-feet this morning but most of the wild geese flocks spent time way from the reserve.

Again 800+ Lapwing, 50+ Ruff, 30+ Black-tailed Godwit and 14 Dunlin.

Raptors reported included 3 Common Buzzard, Peregrine and Kestrel.
