A Greenland White-fronted Goose was reported to be on the reserve this afternoon (via the internet) so we cannot be sure of the veracity of this information, although it wouldn't be a surprise.

Still at least 2 Marsh Harriers showing regularly, 2 Peregrines and a few Common Buzzards. Waders today included around 12 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Dunlin, and about 30 Ruff. The feeding stations around the reserve are drawing in more and more birds, with increasing numbers of Tree Sparrow, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, and Reed Bunting, along with Willow, Coal, Long-tailed, Great and Blue tits. No counts received, but Pintail, Wigeon, Shoveller, Tufted Duck, and Pochard numbers appear to be increasing. About 600 Whooper Swans on the Mere this afternoon.
