Around 8,500 Pink-footed Geese roosting on the reserve this morning. Thousands of Teal scattered around the reserve slowly emerging from eclipsed plumage.

Three Peregrine again showing well in the morning. At least 2 Marsh Harrier with one seen catching an Eel which it eventually dropped.

Tawny Owl showing well near the Kingfisher Hide, on the right hand side of the path behind the Fred Pearson bench.

Plenty of Common Snipe around with regular flocks of 20+ being flushed. A single Redshank was new in.

Other birds seen included Little Grebe from the Ron Barker Hide and from yesterday Nuthatch and Grey Wagtail both in side the collection area.
