Little change from yesterday with a great variety of birds present and showing well !

The 2 Curlew Sandpipers were on the Mere all day along with several Black-tailed Godwits, Avocets, at least 2 Little Ringed Plovers, and 4 Ruff, one of which was the mainly black summer plumaged individual. A Mediterranean Gull was also amongst the Black-headed Gulls in the colony on the islands.

Cuckoos were active today, with birds heard and seen regularly in trees between the Gladstone hide and the Reedbed walk. Also from the Ron Barker hide, Mediterranean Gull, Reed and Grasshopper Warblers, and a Barn Owl which performed well this morning.
