Birds on the move

A fresher day than of late with a brisk West-South-Westerly blowing. A notable influx of hirundines with 200 Swallow, 30+ House Martin feeding low over the reserve. A couple of Common Swift appeared to be moving North, but undoubtedly just moving to feed in local weather conditions.

A juvenile Peregrine was stirring things up early afternoon with at least 2 Marsh Harrier floating around.

Waders include 13 Ruff, 20 Black-tailed Godwit, Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, 20+ Common Snipe and 300+ Lapwing.

A Wheatear was new in out on reserve fields.
