A Bittern flew out of the reeds by the Janet Kear Hide and over the trees dropping in the reeds, along the cut to the right of the path, before the Harrier Hide. We would assume it was the same bird seen last week but there maybe more than one bird present.

Over a 1000 Whooper Swan still, smaller numbers of Pink-footed Geese for most of the day, though there have been around 3000 locally with Beans and White-fronts present yesterday.

Two Ringed Plover were new in and a count of 102 Ruff yesterday was the biggest of the winter. Bar-tailed Godwit still present and a belated report of Woodcock still from the Janet Kear Hide last Wednesday.

Water Rail from the Harrier Hide.

The adult Yellow-legged Gull was seen yesterday. We should have some photographs of this bird to follow.

Raptors included 3+ Marsh Harrier, 3 Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
