No surprise really but the Cetti's Warbler was heard and briefly seen along the Red Bed Walk early afternoon.  It did feel quite warm in the sun and notably a few insect on the wing after such a cold spell.

The Reed Bed Walk can be accessed before and after the reserve is open/closed from the coach car park.

No shortage of wildfowl too although no counts. The Mere was playing host to many Common Shelduck. These birds breed in good numbers on the reserve but the wintering population is swelled considerably.

At least 2 Marsh Harrier and 3 Common Buzzard seen today. An influx of Skylark, possibly due to hard weather elsewhere, with at least 8 birds out in Plover Field.

Willow Tit from Janet Kear Hide again. Treecreeper along the Nature Trail and a possible Nuthatch heard to call along there too.
