Common Crane again.

The 'elusive' Common Crane dropped onto the reserve late morning but no further sign by 4pm. It was initially viewable on the left hand side marsh from the path approaching the Harrier Hide. Given that Common Crane is nearly 4 feet tall, it's been doing a good job avoiding being spotted in the local vicinity.

Great light for most of the day with the reserve looking spectacular in it's snow covered beauty. A good concentration of 1000+ Whooper Swan present throughout the day.

The Barn Owl(s) have been showing well from 1.30 onwards especially from the Ron Barker Hide.

At least 4 Common Buzzard, 3 Peregrine, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel today.
