An adult Common Crane was found this morning by reserve warden Alex Sayer while checking the cattle. It was present until 11am when it flew off, south east, gaining hight. Very lucky to get some shots of the bird when it changed direction and flew straight over us! However thankfully the bird had second thoughts and flew back in at 2.30pm and is still present (4.30pm).

This is the third record for the reserve. Previous birds occurred in the 70's and in 1999.
