Cuckoo
Bird of the day was a Cuckoo that was seen on a couple of occasions from the Janet Kear hide. A Grey Wagtail was seen around the Mere today and the pair of Common Terns spent most of the day around the Mere and were seen nest scraping.
The 2 Ruff are still on site best looked for from Ron Barker hide, also at least 8 Black tailed Godwit from here. One of the 1st sum Mediterranean Gulls was loafing around the Mere most of the day and an adult was seen along Curlew Lane early morning.
A couple of Red-legged Partridge were seen from Ron Barker this afternoon and a report of a Grey Partridge from here as well. The Moorhen chick in the Black headed Gull nest is still alive and well and Brown Hares were seen this morning along the Reedbed walk.
