Cuckoo still
The juvenile Cuckoo is still around, seen along the perimiter fence by the reedbed walk and from the Harrier Hide, also a Little Egret was again seen from HH hide along with Little Grebe, Wigeon and Gadwall.
A Greenshank was a brief visitor to Vinsons pool viewed from Ron Barker hide, also 1 Ruff and 3 Black-tailed godwit. A single Green Sandpiper was also seen todayas well as c200 Lapwing.
At least 3 Marsh Harrier (ad fem + 2 juv) were counted as well as 7 Common Buzzard, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk. Other sightings included upto 300 Swift, House Martin and Sand Martin. The usual woodland species such as Great spotted Woodpecker, Jay and Blackcap were all seen today. And just offsite a Yellow Wagtail was near Marsh Moss Lane.
A Stoat was seen near the Ron Barker hide and was watched coming down from a tree!
