Around 15 European White-fronted Geese, 2 Barnacle Geese and around 3000 Pink's, most of the latter coming in mid to late afternoon.
Two Barn Owl out this afternoon. An excellent day for Marsh Harrier with at least 5 different birds present. Merlin showed well this morning plunging into a Starling flock, missing, then spending sometime perched out on a post from the Ron Barker Hide. Other raptors included 3 adult Peregrine, 3 Kestrel, 2 Common Buzzard and female Sparrowhawk.
The Grey Phalarope showed well all day from the Ron Barker Hide and a Kingfisher there too.
All of the photographs received confirm that we have a Willow Tit visiting the feeding station at the Janet Kear Hide. If you do have a shot of a Marsh Tit do send it in, although it will need to show detail on the bill!
