Glossy Ibis!

The reserves 2nd Glossy Ibis of the year turned up today, a juvenile bird first seen in flight heading towards UU hide this morning, it showed on and off throughout the afternoon.

Another good day for Raptors with 2-3 Marsh Harriers on and off all day, 2 pristine juvenile birds and a moulting 2nd or 3rd cal year female. At least 2 Peregrine were seen, an adult and a juvenile bird late afternoon which was being mobbed by a Kestrel, one of 5 birds in the area. Several Common Buzzard including a bird with pale underparts and 2 Sparrowhawk.

Two juvenile Yellow Wagtail were on show from R. Barker hide with lots of Pied Wagtail along with 2 juv Little ringed Plover this afternoon.
