Green Sandpiper

Another pleasant day with the reserve looking very lush. Plenty of activity with many birds fledgling young. A male Great Spotted Woodpecker was seen with a juvenile near the Janet Kear Hide. A few young Pied Wagtail were around the Mere.

The Green Sandpiper is still present in front of the Swan Link or Hale Hides.

Two 2nd summer Med Gulls regularly on the Mere.

A female Marsh Harrier was seen hunting beyond Plover Field.

A Fox was seen carrying prey from the Ron Barker Hide and Brown Hares were present along the back of the Mere this morning.
