Green-Winged Teal
Drake Green-winged Teal on the Mere this morning and from the Ron Barker Hide in the afternoon.
More wildfowl turning up with greater numbers of Pintail, Wigeon, Shelduck and Pochard.
Passage migration was very much in evidence this morning with 250 Fieldfare moving south, good numbers of Skylark, Meadow Pipit and assorted finches. A single Swallow also passed over south.
A Spotted Redshank was new in. The usual good numbers of Lapwing and Ruff.
Raptors included 2 Peregrine, 2 Marsh Harrier, 4 Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk.
