Greenshank

A very pleasant day with good visibility early on becoming breezy in the afternoon.

A Greenshank was new in this morning flying from Woodend Marsh to Vinson's and Sunley's. Only the second record this year although during the next few months this passage wader can occur in small flocks.

Presumably yesterday's Cuckoo was heard again this morning near the Kingfisher Hide.

Marsh Harrier and Hobby seen from the Harrier Hide again today. Bee Orchids are still in flower around the embankment at the Harrier Hide.

Other waders present included 100+ Lapwing, a few Avocet, 30+ Black-tailed Godwit and 8 Ruff
