Greenshank

A murky wet start to the day clearing mid morning ending the afternoon in sunshine. A Greenshank was new in. Two adult breeding plumage Dunlin joined the waders wihich included 22 Ruff, 12 Black-tailed Godwit, Little Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, 2 Avocet and 300+ Lapwing.

The juvenile Cuckoo showed well in front of the Ron Barker Hide also Kingfisher there next to Miller's Bridge.

Raptors seen included Marsh Harrier which caught and killed a juvenile Black-headed Gull on Sunley's, 4+ Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
