An excellent wader 'fest' on the mildest day we've had for some time, clear too for good distance scanning. Avocet have crept up to four, 15 Golden Plover was a very good count for here, 45 Oystercatcher, 11 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Dunlin, 6+ Ringed Plover, 80+ Ruff and 2000+ Lapwing.

A ringtail Hen Harrier was mobbed by Carrion Crows, after which it came back and mobbed Common Buzzard and a couple of Marsh Harrier which appeared to be hanging around some 'carrion' out on the reserve. In fact 5 separate Marsh Harrier, 6+ Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and 2 Kestrel were also seen. Barn Owl early and late doors.

Other birds included a 1st winter Med Gull, and a partial count included 2450 Teal, 890 Wigeon and 19 Tufted Duck.
