A wet start followed by cool breezy conditions, still ideal for bringing some new waders onto the reserve. A breeding plumage male Ruff was new in out on Woodend Marsh viewed from the United Utilities Hide. A pair of Common Tern present here. Woodend Marsh is good for Shoveler and Gadwall.

The usual waders with Avocet, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Little Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit and Ringed Plover all present. Sanderling on the Mere late afternoon.

Plenty of Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Sedge and Reed Warbler scattered around the reserve.

A noticeable hatching of Shelduck chicks around the reserve.
