Chilly again but good visibility with cloud cover. A good selection of species to be seen at present with more new arrival. A drake Garganey joined the 70+ Teal that are still present on the reserve. The bird was still present on Vinson's Marsh late morning at least.

Four Whimbrel were new in again on Vinson's Marsh. Other waders included 21 Ruff some developing into breeding plumage, 40+ Avocet, 20+ Lapwing, 16 Redshank, 8 Oystercatcher, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Common Sandpiper and a few Snipe.

A new Lesser Whitethroat was singing in Long Hedge this morning and a Grasshopper Warbler was reeling next to the Untied Utilities Hide early on.

Yellowhammer singing again at the end of Long Hedge and 3 Wheatear in Wheatear Field just beyond. Common Tern again on Woodend Marsh.

A Peregrine caught a Coot in front of the Ron Barker Hide in the afternoon. At least 4 Common Buzzard some distantly, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
