The fairly awful 'bank holiday weather' did have the potential to drop a few new birds onto the reserve, and if it did nobody reported them. However I did squeeze in some birding between my 'proper job' and managed to see 55 species by only walking 12 paces, lazy birding.

Nothing rare or unusual but it did included 3 species of raptor, 14 species of waterfowl, 8 species of wader and 5 species of gull.

The only obvious 'spring migrants' were Sand Martin and singing Blackcap.
