Little Gull
A good day for Gulls on the Mere with 7 species being present, the best of which were an Adult or 3rd Summer Little Gull and upto 3 Mediterranean Gulls (pair of adults & 1st summer). The Little Gull has been displaying to Black headed Gulls and picking up nesting material, hopefully this diminutive gull will stick around. A pair of Great black backed Gulls and several 1st summer Common Gulls were also present.
Other sightings around the reserve included upto 3 Common Sandpiper, Dunlin and 20 Ruff and a Wheatear was seen from Ron Barker hide.
