Little Stint
Super start to the day with Little Stint and 6 Curlew Sandpiper from the Ron Barker Hide. Not the highest autumn count of Curlew Sandpiper as we did manage 17 Curlew Sandpiper and 16 Little Stint on one day, early 00's. At least 6 Dunlin present today, Curlew, 20+ Snipe, Green Sandpiper, a few Ruff, 4 Golden Plover and 300+ Lapwing.
Do keep a lookout for Buff-breasted Sandpiper as this rare american wader was reported today at Hesketh Out Marsh (~ 5 miles away) and could easily turn up here!
Other highlights of the day included 50+ Pink-footed Geese, Kingfisher and Stoat showing from the RB Hide.
At least 10 Common Buzzard seen, 2+ Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
