Little Stint again

After yesterday's arrival of 3 Little Stint and apparent departure, at least one or perhaps a new Little Stint was found today mid afternoon on Woodend Marsh from the United Utilities Hide. Two Common Tern and the 1cy Little Gull also on Wood End in the afternoon.

Other wader activity included  4 Ringed Plover, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 8+ Redshank, 4 Oystercatcher, 60+ Lapwing and some recently hatched Avocet chicks.

Two Roe Deer were seen this morning on the reserve.

Plenty of activity on the Reed Bed Walk with Common Whitethroats, Sedge and Reed Warblers. Twenty Wall Butterfly were also there.

Just in case you were wondering... the Ross's Goose flew in over the Mere this morning. Leaving it late for it's move back to North America.... It obviously likes it here.
