Mediterranean Gull
A 1st summer Mediterranean Gull was around the Mere on and off during the day with small numbers of Black headed Gull. Both Rook and a single Raven were seen today.
At least 2 Ruff were reported today along with 2 Yellow Wagtail out on Woodend Marsh. From Ron Barker Hide 4 Dunlin were on show as well as the usual Avocets, Redshank, also Ringed Plover and Lapwing.
A Sparrowhawk flew low past the mere in the morning.
