A good raptor day despite the wild(ish) weather. An adult Peregrine took sometime plucking and devouring a Moorhen at the back of the Mere this afternoon. Three Marsh Harrier jigging in the wind throughout the day, also 3+ Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.

A single Dunlin and Ringed Plover dropped in on the Mere, the only obvious signs of migration. It was good to see at least one fully fledged Ringed Plover with resident adults on the Mere this morning.

Good views of Common Swift, House Martin and Swallows hunting low in the wet and windy conditions.

Still hopeful for a late Phalarope thou..
