Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

A Short eared Owl was seen again from Ron Barker Hide which along with 2 White fronted Geese (race unknown) were the highlights of the day. The single Bewick's Swan spent most of the day in Plover field with upto 1700 Whooper Swan and 1000 Pink footed Geese.

The Brambling and Willow Tit continue to show well from Janet Kear hide and a Treecreeper was seen today. Late news from yesterday was a Merlin from Ron Barker Hide. Other raptors seen today were Peregrine and upto 3 Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard and Kestrel.

Waders included 2 Oystercatcher and at least 3 Black tailed Godwit and upto 2000 Lapwing
