Singing in spring

One of those days were Great Tit and Chaffinch, among other species, start warming up their vocal chords in sheltered spots warmed by the sun getting ready for the territorial combats of spring.

Male Great-spotted Woodpeckers were also drumming this morning.

A few 'winter finches' with Siskins seen near the Kingfisher Hide and Brambling again around the Janet Kear Hide. Goldcrest feeding along the Nature Trail.

Merlin from the Harrier Hide this morning, adult male Hen Harrier this afternoon, 3 Peregrine, 3+ Common Buzzard, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
