Some waders

Pleasant in the sun with a fresh westerly. One or two waders apparent around the reserve, although as the lush undergrowth spreads out they are not always easy to find.

Two Green Sandpiper again, one in front of the Raines Hide early on, generally best from the Hale Hide or in front of Swan Link Hide. Sixteen Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Redshank, 20+ Avocet and 60+ Lapwing scattered around depending on which birds of prey have flushed them.

Check the feeding stations for recently fledged birds. Young Robins can cause some confusion at this time of year with their speckled brown breast.
