Spotted Redshank new in.

No sign of yesterday's phalarope but a moulting Spotted Redshank was new in for those out birding today. Still a family party of Avocet, 2 adult and 3 nearly fledged young. Other waders included 39 Oystercatcher, 32 Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew, Ringed Plover, Ruff and 2 Green Sandpiper.

Noticeably warmer with a few butterfly and dragonfly on the wing including Wall and Common Darter respectively. Hobby again from the Ron Barker Hide, 2 Marsh Harrier, 5 Common Buzzard, Peregrine and 3 Kestrel. Tawny Owl again near the Kingfisher Hide.

Other counts included 23 adult and 72 juvenile Common Shelduck, 6 Pochard and 9 Tufted Duck.
