Swallow

I don't think the irony should be lost that the first definite sighting of Swallow on the reserve should come on a day when snow is forecast on the Pennines. How does that saying go, one Swallow... The reserve year list moves on to 118 species of birds.

It certainly felt chilly after the rain moved through late morning. It didn't seem to stop the singing Blackcaps and display flying Greenfinch on the Nature Trail.

Still 30+ Ruff on the reserve and 40+ Avocet.

Relatively quiet in the moth trap but it did produce the first Double-striped Pug of the year.
