Another spring like day, a mild wind and warm in the sun. A few counts included 65 Avocet, 115 Oystercatcher, 72 Ruff, 33 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Redhank, 5 Ringed Plover and 3 Dunlin.

Over 1000 Whooper Swan and 1000+ Pink-footed Geese, the later flying in at 4pm.

Two Peregrines in action this morning, 3 Marsh Harrier, 4+ Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.

Cetti's Warbler still present along the Reed Bed Walk, in song. The Reed Bed Walk is open before the reserve opens and after it closes, and can be accessed from the coach car park on the left as you enter the reserve.

I keep forgetting to mention Buff-tailed Bumble Bees are flying around on milder days and have been for a while!
