True Lover's Knot

A good catch for the moth morning including True Lover's Knot which once imputed into the Mapmate recording software turned out to be a first for the reserve! The recent spell of easterlies has produce local movements of this heath/moorland specialist.  Click on the link below for more info.

On the bird front now 10 Ruff moulting into non breeding plumage. at least one Green Sandpiper from various hides. More Snipe again. Two Common Tern this morning from the Ron Barker Hide.

Common Buzzards showing well around the recently cut Plover Field. Female Marsh Harrier again and 2 Kestrel.
