Wood Sandpiper, new for the year, from the United Utilities Hide (15.35) Two Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint still present this afternoon from the Ron Barker Hide.

 Plenty of waders to scan through all round with, 100+ Avocet, 20+ Ruff (great in summer plumage), 30+ Black-tailed Godwit, 20+ Oysterctacher, 20 Redshank, 4 Whimbrel, 3 Curlew, 6+ Ringed Plover, 3 Dunlin, 2 Little Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, Common Snipe and ~200 Lapwing.

At least 3 Marsh Harrier, 4+ Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel and female Sparrowhawk in action today.

Possible Redstart called in undergrowth between the Gladstone and Janet Kear Hide mid afternoon.
