Also from Ron Barker were 10 juvenile Dunlin along with upto 30 Ruff and good numbers of Lapwing.

A Kingfisher was also seen from RB hide this afternoon. At least 14 Pink-footed Geese were on the reserve and increasing numbers of Teal, Wigeon and Pintail continue to arrive. All 3 species of Hirundine were seen today but all the Swifts seem to have largely gone now.

A Peregrine was in the area today as well as the usual Common Buzzards, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk. Upto 2 Marsh Harriers were seen today including one late afternoon which caught a Moorhen on the Mere and proceeded to drown the bird before plucking and eating it over the next hour! A Chiffchaff was calling on and off all day by the In Focus shop.
