Waders

Another very pleasant on the reserve, especially with cooler breeze coming through the hide windows again. If you've never been before, the Reed Bed Walk is good for dragon and damselflies as well as a few butterflies on the wing.

It's still the waders making the news with 6 male Ruff new in, 6 Avocet (4 ad+2juv), 2 Curlew, 3 Redshank, 10+ Black-tailed Godwit, 4+ Oystercatcher, 60+ Lapwing and Green Sandpiper.

Plenty of young birds using the feeding stations including Tree Sparrow, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Blue & Great Tits.

The usual raptors with 3+ Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
