Wheatear

An early morning walk around the boundary of the reserve was productive particularly when you stumble across a fine male Wheatear.

Corn Bunting are singing on territories on the edge of the reserve. Little Owl again opposite the reserve entrance and a few Red-legged Partridges around and about. If anyone sees or hears Grey Partridge or Yellowhammer do let us know.

Perhaps as few as 60 Whooper Swan this morning although some birds maybe feeding out in local fields.

At least 3 Chiffchaff in song. A number of Meadow Pipit and Pied Wagtail present at the Sewage Works at the end of the Reed Bed Walk.
