This morning's count of 1,850 Whooper Swans was the highest of the year so far. Also this morning, a group of 10 "tundra" Bean Geese were feeding with Pink-footed Geese in fields bording the reserve until flushed by a tractor. Although they appeared to land on the reserve, no further reports were received. The Willow Tit was again at the feeder next to the Janet Kear hide, along with Great Spotted Woodpecker and Treecreeper amongst the usual Tit and Finch flocks. At least 3 Marsh Harriers still present today, and a single Hen Harrier was reported.
