Dawn till dusk sunshine and great visibility yet again, although well worth putting a couple of extra layers on if you want to sit it out in the hides!

Woodcock from the Janet Kear Hide was new for the year. It's possible given the nature of these birds that it has been present for sometime and yet it may have been brought in by the recent cold snap.

The Mere, though partly frozen, was packed with Whooper Swans and assorted ducks including Gadwall and a few Goldeneye.

Plenty of Common Buzzard on the wing again, at least 3 Marsh Harrier, 2 Peregrine, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.

Five Dunlin on the ice, less Lapwing in these colder conditions, still 60+ Ruff and 10+ Black-tailed Godwit.

A Mole briefly appeared by the Swan Link Hide, it's 'hill making' attracted a Robin who made the most of escaping worms.
